FLootball.com's FAQ (in beta)

To Answer all of your burning questions about what FLootball.com's fantasy leagues are gonna be like, the staff has put together some answers to the questions they get asked the most about the site.

Don't worry if this FAQ doesn't satiate your need for more FLootball info, as it's a work in progress document. Stay tuned for updates, or even better, ask your own questions about FLootball on our facebook page or email us at info@FLootball.com!

1. What makes FLootball.com™ different than other fantasy sports providers out there?

That’s easy, it’s the LOOT. Our Loot based player upgrade system is like nothing else available out there. It’s, dare I say, revolutionary.

For the last 15 years, all of the major fantasy football providers have been force feeding you the same stale, boring fantasy format every year. Innovation need not apply because they are content to provide you with a 90's era fantasy game. That’s lame as hell.

On the other hand, our “Gamified” fantasy football experience provides fantasy owners with an unprecedented amount of strategy, player customization, and most importantly…a fun time... And its  Free to Play.
It’s about time to move the fantasy football play experience into the 21st century. That’s what FLootball.com™ is striving to do, and that's what makes us different.

   2. How much does it cost to play fantasy football at FLootball.com™?

Nothing. Nada. Zip. Its 100% free to play guy. You’ve got spending money for drinks now. Go out and enjoy yourself. When you get back, go to www.FLootball.com™, **register your team, pick your league, and away you go down the rabbit hole of the fantasy sports revolution.

(**In August, when we launch, do that last part about registering. Until then, continuing partying. Enjoy your summer. Go to the pool. We’ll let you know when the site is ready for registering.)

Commissioner tools like custom scoring options, league size, and custom roster composition are part of the 100% free package as well. So there’s nothing to lose!

   3. How and when do I get Loot to equip on my players?

There are two ways to outfit your team with sweet, sweet Loot. One way is through your players reaching “Loot Drop” milestones. What are "Loot Drop" milestones you say? I thought you'd never ask.

Basically, there are a number of different stat milestones that your fantasy players can trigger during the course of their games. When these "Loot drop" milestones are met, then your team will be rewarded with items and gold.  For example, the following are the stat milestones for rushing that trigger a “Loot Drop”:

Rushing Yards                                       Rushing TD’s
• 100-119 rushing yards                       • 1 Tds
• 120-149 rushing yards                       • 2 Tds
• 150+ rushing yards                             • 3 Tds

So let’s say that Adrian Peterson is one of your RB’s (Nice pick btw). AP rushes for 140 yards and 2 Tds against the Bears like he always does. His performance would trigger FOUR “Loot Drop” instances:

1.   For rushing for at least 100-119 yards, Loot or Gold will drop
2.   For rushing between 120-149 yards, Loot or Gold will drop
3.   For rushing for at least 1 touchdown, Loot or Gold will drop
4.   For rushing for at least 2 touchdowns, Loot or Gold will drop

That means Adrian Peterson likely just scored you 4 new items that you can equip on your players to upgrade their stats. So the better your players play, the more loot you’ll receive. Get it? Easy Peazy lemon squeezy, or whatever.

The other way to get Loot is through the in-game store. If you’re a good reader, then you noticed above that “Gold” can potentially drop instead of Loot when your players reach stat milestones.

So if you've earned enough Gold through Loot drops, you can visit your league’s in-game shop, where 5 random items will be available for purchase every week. You can use the gold your players earned to buy items here.

If your team has been… “sucking”, and you don’t have much gold, you can buy some with real money. So if you're in last place, you don’t have to give up and stop following your league anymore. You can upgrade your team and try to keep them in the playoff hunt! Also, all items AND gold can be traded amongst teams as well. In other words, your fantasy football trade discussion emails just got A LOT more interesting…

“How about Peyton Manning, 500 gold, and the Cyborg Helmet, for Adrian Peterson and the Zombie Jersey?”

   4. Can I still win my league without paying any money?

Yes. No doubt about it. If you drafted well, you will be rewarded with tons of free Loot and Gold. No real money needed to outfit your team with gear. Play and win for FREE.

   5. How do the items upgrade my players?

Items upgrade players by giving them fantasy point bonuses for certain stat categories.
For example, take the “King’s Helmet” you see to the right (which is of “legendary” rarity and thus… really rare). This helmet gives pretty solid bonuses all-around to all the different scoring categories.
As you can see, the bonuses are given in the form of percentages. So let’s say that in your league, every 10 yards passing= 1 fantasy point. Your QB, Tom Brady, throws a 50 yard pass to Rob Gronkowski.

That pass, without wearing any items, would net you 5 fantasy points (1 point for every 10 yards passing remember).

Now if Tom Brady had been equipped with the King’s Helmet for that game, he would have received a +50% point bonus for that pass. So that 50 yard pass would have netted you 7.5 fantasy points instead of 5! Get it?

Here’s the math for all you theater majors out there: 5 fantasy points * 50% bonus=2.5 bonus points. 2.5+5= 7.5 fantasy points! Each of your players can wear 5 of these stat enhancing items, so “the more loot you equip, the more your team becomes legit”. Just memorize that tight rhyme and you’ll be good to go.

   6. How many items can I collect over the course of the season?

There are well over 100 items to be discovered over the course of the season. Each of these items are part of a 5 item “set”. The more items a player wears of the same set, the more bonus fantasy points they receive. Trade for the items your need to complete sets, buy them at the store, or hope they drop during the course of games.

   7. Can I equip any player I wish with the items I earn?

Yep. You can equip any items you've gained over the course of the season on any of your players you want. Your entire inventory of items is stored in your “Loot Locker”. So if Adrian Peterson netted you 4 items for his blockbuster performance against the Bears, you can equip those items on the other players on your team to help them pick up the slack. (Of course, each item can only be worn by one player at a time.)
